All About Water Service
You will find the Water District's Tap Application located in this section. Please complete the application and return it no sooner than January 1st. Include proof of your property being in the IHWD Taxing District with a copy of your most recent property tax statement, and a $100 deposit. If your application is rejected your deposit will be refunded. If accepted, the $100 covers the inspection fee for hook up.
The Board will meet the third Thursday of February (and every following month until the number of taps allocated for the year have been awarded) to review the applications. You will be contacted before that time if you are needed to attend the meeting.
Tap Fees are currently $18,000 for existing residence and $25,000 for undeveloped land. This amount must be paid no more than 90 days after the tap has been awarded or when the tap connection is made, whichever comes first. We have two Water Taps for sale for this January 2013 application period.
If approved, and after payment is received, the new Water Tap owner will then be responsible to obey The Rules & Regulations of The District and will be charged accordingly.
